Radnor Alumni...Reconnect With Your Past!

REF is assisting the Radnor Alumni Council to launch a new website page: www.rtsd.org/radnoralumni. As Radnor alumni you are part of a unique and special group. Sign up to reach out to your friends and former classmates and receive important news about Radnor. The web site features current information about reunions as well as past and present Radnor happenings. An alumni link for getting involved with Radnor now and connecting with friends from Radnor past, the site is also a source for business networking, soliciting Hall of Fame nominees, as well as displaying and preserving archival information.

REF Raises Hearts of Gold at Valentines ‘n’ Vegas Casino Night

Thank you to all of the businesses, local corporations, parents, community members, and RTSD teachers and staff for their generosity and support of the Valentines ‘n’ Vegas Casino Night to benefit the Radnor Educational Foundation. More than $33,000 was raised at the gaming event despite a major snowstorm on February 5 at The Radnor Hotel, with attendance by more than 200 Radnor residents. Your generosity enables the foundation to support innovative educational programming and technology initiatives for all Radnor students. Thank you for your Investment in Excellence and commitment in becoming a Partner for Education.

Best regards,
Candyce Wilson, Renee Melvin, Patti Pressman, Co-Chairs
Joy Antonoplos, Executive Director

Radnor Educational Foundation Honors Founding Members

REF honored its founding members with a plaque dedication ceremony on the front porch of the Radnor Township School District administration building. After a delightful “Party on the Porch,” attendees toured the Radnor Middle School and experienced interactive whiteboard technology in a classroom setting. Learn More (PDF File)

Turf's Up Project

In 2008 the Radnor Township School District and Radnor Township agreed to fund up to $250,000 each toward the installation of an artificial turf field on Prevost Field at Radnor High School. An additional $233,047 was raised through private donations from community groups and individuals. The total project cost was $710,000. REF agreed to act as the fiscal conduit for these fundraising efforts. In addition, REF awarded a grant of $4000 toward this initiative. The turf installation is now complete and has greatly enhanced the experiences and opportunities of all our athletes and community-at-large.

Bryn Mawr Trust, Giant Foods and Penn Liberty Bank have each contributed to Radnor Educational Foundation

Bryn Mawr Trust Company and Giant Food Stores, Inc. have each recently made contributions to support the Radnor Educational Foundation through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program.

The Pennsylvania tax credit program allows corporations to receive tax credits by donating to an educational improvement organization to help implement programs not supported by the school district budget.

See the "How you can Help" section for more information about the EITC program.
